A fair and balanced review from a foodie’s perspective.

Papa’s Uptown has been a long-time favorite for my wife and I since they were located on Whitespar.
In fact, Papa’s was the first place that I took my wife on a date more than 8 years ago. The food is still delicious!
My wife and I are foodies and we love everything that we’ve tried from here.
The atmosphere would be a 6 Star rating on Google if I could give them one because they truly have one of the most authentic experiences in Prescott.
We highly recommend to everyone we meet to go on a date at Papa’s.
Garlic Bread – FFBF Rating – 5/5

As soon as you sit down, they start bringing out the garlic bread.
This garlic bread will literally melt in your mouth! (Don’t be tempted to get full on the garlic bread unless you decide to split a meal which I highly advise that you do)
Minestrone Soup – FFBF Rating – 5/5

Their minestrone soup is filled with flavor and comes with every entre, unless you would rather have salad (which from previous experience is outstanding as well).
Chicken Parmigiana – FFBF Rating – 5/5

The Chicken Parmigiana is unbelievably rich and every bite I took was like an explosion of flavors.
With the atmosphere already giving you a true Italian experience, this entre simply takes your experience from your eyes to your taste buds as every bite you take is an explosion of flavor in your mouth.
The home-made tomato sauce, the blend of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese melted on top is very unique and delicious!
Lasagna – FFBF Rating – 4/5

The sweet potatoes were cooked decently and were fresh, but they lacked a lot of flavor and didn’t have hardly any seasoning, if any at all. The lasagna is an Italian classic. Although it is a bit more saucy than usual, the special sauce of the night (spicy tomato sauce) was full of flavor and just the right spice level to still enjoy the rest of the meal. Papa’s lasagna is definitely one of our favorites in town. The sweet potatoes were cooked decently and were fresh, but they lacked a lot of flavor and didn’t have hardly any seasoning, if any at all.
Dessert – FFBF Rating – 5/5
(Sorry, no pictures)
Finally, desert. The tiramisu was amazing! The flavor will leave your taste buds craving it when you leave for the night.
Decor – FFBF Rating – 5/5
(Sorry, no pictures, will add at another time that we go here.)
Very romantic setting and authentic decor. Feels like you’re sitting somewhere in Italy while dining at Papa’s.
Customer Service – FFBF Rating – 5/5

To begin, their customer service is a 5 star experience.
They greet every customer as though they are a part of the family.
The experience continues once you sit down as they are very attentive and are not in a rush when they are taking your order.
Drinks are filled without having to ask, your order is taken in a timely manner, and the food is served quickly.
Overall FFBF Rating: 4.85/5
Overall, our experiences through the years have been what a fine-dining restaurant experience should be.
They have maintained a very high standard of food and service.
Don’t forget to call and reserve a table as this place is very popular, only open from 4-8 pm, and they are full nearly every night.
One of our all-time favorites and hope it will be yours too!
